Product Overview

Birchall Virunga Earl Grey is a pure single origin tea, sourced exclusively from the finest tea gardens in Rwanda — close to the country’s border with the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Virunga National Park. In this region, tea bushes grow slowly at high altitude and relatively low temperatures, developing greater depth of flavour before the leaves are individually picked.

All leaves are hand-plucked using Birchall’s ‘perfect pick’ technique, where the leaf, bud and tender stem are carefully pinched together. The leaves are then blended with traditional bergamot oil to give a distinctive citrus flavour with spicy floral notes. Fully Rainforest Alliance Certified.

These tea bags use Birchall’s Prism™ format — a pyramid-style tea bag that gives the tea more space to brew.
