Product Overview
House Blend is the everyday workhorse of the Amber Coffee Co range - a strong, satisfying coffee with a smoky aroma, a hint of caramel, a touch of cedar and a dark chocolate finish. Rated 4.5 out of 5 for strength, it's built for people who want a proper, full-bodied cup that holds its own with milk or stands up on its own. The blend combines natural Brazilian Arabica from the Eldorado farm in the Alto Mogiana region - dry-processed for a heavy body, sweet and smooth character - with Vietnamese washed Robusta, which adds punch, caffeine and a natural earthy balance to the sweeter Arabica notes. Roasted by experienced roasters in Northern Ireland, it's a blend that delivers consistent results without the premium price tag.
Why Brazilian Arabica?
The Brazilian Arabica in this blend is sourced directly from the Eldorado farm in the Alto Mogiana region of Brazil. Dry-processed - meaning the beans are patio-dried while still in the cherry - this method produces a coffee that is heavy in body, sweet, smooth and complex.
Why Vietnamese Robusta?
Vietnam produces around 70% of the world's Robusta coffee. Robusta beans contain roughly double the caffeine of Arabica and bring a natural, earthy flavour that balances the sweeter, fruitier notes of the Brazilian beans. The result is a blend with real strength and depth - without tipping into bitterness.
