Severe Weather Update (Friday 9th January)

Following heavy snowfall across Derbyshire overnight, we are operating with reduced staffing levels today (Friday 9th January).

Customer Service
Our customer service team is working remotely today. As a result, our phone lines are temporarily unavailable.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Zoe and Harley are fully operational and ready to help via live chat and email, and will respond as quickly as possible. Please bear with them if response times are slightly longer than usual.

Warehouse Operations
Warehouse team members who live locally have been able to make it into work. They are working hard to dispatch orders wherever possible, however some minor delays should be expected.

Courier Updates – APC
Our courier partner, APC, is also operating under extremely challenging conditions.

While many of us were safely at home as the snow fell overnight, this is a critical operating period for APC. Their trunk drivers were transporting parcels and pallets to national sortation hubs so they could be forwarded to local delivery depots.

Unfortunately, a number of vehicles were unable to reach these hubs due to road conditions, either becoming stuck en route or being turned back for health and safety reasons. Although freight that did arrive has been sorted, a significant volume remains held at hubs as connecting vehicles were unable to arrive.

As a result, deliveries scheduled for today (Friday) — and potentially those in the coming days — may be impacted.

With around 120 depots nationwide attempting to operate in these conditions, the safety of drivers and staff remains the top priority. This will inevitably create a knock-on effect across the network over the next few days. APC has contingency plans in place and will provide further updates as the situation develops.

Stock Availability
We also anticipate some delays with inbound stock deliveries. While our warehouse remains well stocked overall, a small number of key lines are currently out of stock. We are actively working to replenish these items as quickly as possible.

Our team is doing everything possible to minimise disruption and keep orders moving. Even if severe weather is not affecting your local area, it is impacting large parts of the country.
