Why Prices Are Increasing - And What We’re Doing About It
Leigh WalkerYou’ve likely seen the news lately, and you’re probably feeling it in your own business too.
Due to the escalating situation in the Middle East, costs are rising across the board. The knock-on effect is now hitting supply chains hard, and we’re seeing it come through from multiple angles.
The majority of our suppliers have introduced temporary surcharges of up to 8% on the products we buy. This comes shortly after the price increases already implemented in April, driven by changes to the National Minimum Wage.
On top of that, courier costs continue to climb. Fuel surcharges are increasing as diesel prices rise, and packaging costs are also continuing their upward trend.
What This Means
We’ve worked hard to absorb as much of this as possible.
We’ve switched suppliers where we can.
We’ve reviewed our buying strategy.
We’ve pushed back on increases wherever possible.
But the reality is simple - our margins are already tight, and we can’t absorb all of these additional costs without impacting the service we provide.
Price Changes
As a result, you will start to see some price increases across a number of our product lines.
This isn’t a decision we take lightly.
We’re fully committed to offering the best possible prices, and just as importantly, being a reliable long-term partner to your business.
Our Commitment to you
This is not a “set and forget” situation.
We will review pricing weekly
We will reduce prices as soon as costs come back down
We will continue to look for ways to keep your costs as low as possible
We understand that price increases are never welcome. But ensuring we can continue to supply you reliably; without compromising on service has to come first.
If you’ve got any questions, or want to talk through anything, just reach out to the team. We’re here to help.
